Nestled along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, the lodge offers travellers a serene escape surrounded by riverine vegetation, abundant birdlife, and the gentle rhythm of nature.
Positioned within the Sikunga Conservancy, Muchenje is perfectly suited for guests seeking rest, adventure, or a convenient overnight stay near the borders of Zambia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.
A Premier Fishing Destination on the Upper Zambezi
The Zambezi Region is one of Namibia’s most biologically rich areas, home to over 450 bird species, vibrant plant life, and thriving river ecosystems.
Muchenje is especially renowned for its exceptional freshwater fishing. Seasoned anglers and first time fishermen are welcome to try their skills at landing any of the following species:
- Tiger Fish (Hydrocynus vittatus) – powerful, fast, and highly sought after
Nembwe – a prized predatory bream, Thinface Largemouth Bream, Three spot Bream, Greenhead Bream, Redbreast Tilapia, and Catfish species.
Guided fishing excursions can be arranged on request.
